MISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION
From May through August 2012, I did a summer internship with Midway ISD Education Foundation. During this internship, I designed several print pieces, wrote press releases, and planned events.
One of my main design projects was the 2011 Annual Report. This report detailed the grants awarded during the year and shared the financial report. I also designed ads for use in football programs, community calanders and magazines.
In addition to design work, I also wrote several press releases and feature stories for local papers. Several were printed in the Hometown News.
I gained experience in event planning during the internship. I helped plan and execute a retired teachers luncheon and a "planetarium" preview for school administrators.
